- 24 July: Kleidonas festival. It’s an old custom that’s organised in the village square by the professional association. Young people jump over a fire and recite poems on this evening.
- Then there’s the honey festival, which the island’s professional association organises around the 25-30 July. You get to see how honey is harvested, taste local dishes made with it and meet beekeepers.
- Then in early August, the fishermen of the island organise the festival of the fisherman. There’s plenty of fish, live music and everyone dances all night, so it’s a great night out.
- Then on 9 August, it’s the turn of the festival of Thymaina. There’s live music, traditional food and lots of fun, making the evening unique.
- On 15 August, we have the big festival from the island’s cultural association, which takes place at the port. There’s live music, traditional food like boiled goat, and lots of wine, so people dance until the morning.
- On July 17th, the cultural association organises the festival of Agia Marina in the central square of the island. There’s a huge variety of dishes, and the main one is local boiled goat (kokkinisti).
- On 28 August, the festival of Agios Ioannis takes place on the eve of his feast day in the Agios Ioannis area. There’s live music, traditional food and lots of wine, and people dance until the morning.
