Fournoi Ikaria is the perfect place for your real summer holiday!
The island complex has a lacy coastline and peaceful landscape.
Between Ikaria and Samos, the island complex of Fourni is a unique tourist destination, perfect for those looking for a peaceful holiday.
The Fourni Korseon complex includes three large islands (Fourni, Thymaina and Agios Minas), nine smaller ones and many rocky islets.
The capital, Fourni, is a pretty port spread around the inlet of a closed bay. Visitors love wandering around the narrow streets of the town, which has a church (Agios Nikolaos), cafes and charming seafood restaurants. The boats and caiques in the harbour really show off the character of Fourni as a kingdom of fish and lobsters.
The other settlements are Kampi, with its old windmills and an ancient quarry, Agios Ioannis, with the church of Agios Ioannis Thermasti, Kamari, opposite the islet of Agios Minas with the church of the same name, and Chrysomilia, which spreads around a sheltered bay and on a hill.
In Thymaina, an island in the western part of the Fourni complex, the houses of the homonymous settlement follow the natural relief, climbing up to the roots of an imposing mountain mass. Near the harbour is Kerameidou, a small settlement with a sandy beach.
If you want to go for a swim, we suggest the beaches of Psili Ammos, Kampi, Elidaki, Petrokopio, Vitsilia, Kasidi, Vlychada, Ampelo, Koumara, Bali, Agia Triada, Chrysomilia and Kerameidos Thymainas.
